I did a piece on Patricia Heaton for Women of the GOP: Women of the GOP: Patricia Heaton: Celebrity Voice for the Pro-Life Movement, tonight, and I have to say I've always known she was one of the rare Hollywood A-List Republican votes, I knew she was pro-life, and conservative on a number of issues, but I guess I didn't realize just how involved she was. One great thing about doing the news and profiles at Women of the GOP, is I learn a lot of interesting stuff about some of the important female voices in our country. I consider Heaton to be one of those. I admire the fact that she doesn't back-down or apologize for her beliefs in a world where it's very easy for to keep her mouth shut and follow the "in crowd." I've always enjoyed her on "Everybody Loves Raymond" and I actually read and enjoyed her book Motherhood in Hollywood several years ago, but I'm even more impressed with her now that I've learned more about her stance on the protection of innocent life.
Anyway, I didn't catch this back in October when it was originally posted, but I found it during my research, tonight. Hot Air did a great interview with Heaton and in it she talks all about her political life among other similar topics...it's long but really interesting (for example, I had no idea Gary Sinise started a little club for Hollywood Republican-types)!
