Dumbass of the Day 10/3/08

Everyone's favorite truther is at it again!!

Green party candidate (really? that's the best they could do?) Cynthia McKinney (M*-GA) has apparently escaped from whatever mental institution she hangs out in (Louis Farrakhan's house?) to run for president and deliver the latest in a long list of uh, controversial statements: McKinney Accuses Government of Slaughtering Prisoners, Dumping Bodies During Katrina.

Runner up: Virgina Education Association president, Kitty Boitnott:Virginia Teachers Union Sparks Outrage With 'Obama Blue Day' (You teachers will love this one!)

*M is for "moron" and that's being nice. I loathe Cynthia McKinney more than I could ever express here. Though I've tried:
Swing Me Way Down South: It Wasn't My Fault...
Swing Me Way Down South: She's back...

Sarah,

I would say I pity you being from Georgia and having Cynthia as a one time representative of that state.

But here in Louisiana we have our own share of "Dumbasses". We have Representative William "Cold Cash" Jefferson out of New Orleans; Senator "Katrina Mary" Landrieu, also out of New Orleans and vote with Obama about 85% of the time; and Senator David Vitter who touted family values while using a hooker service.

Plus we have the spirit of Governor Huey P. Long that is alive and well and roaming the hall of the capitol in Baton Rouge. So, we don't really have much room to talk down here.

Louisiana has had a few honorable people who served the people well as did Georgia.

In recent memeory there is Zell Miller who in 2004, despite being a Democrat, stood up against his party's nomination for president. because he felt it more important to put the needs of the country over the needs of the party.

There is Sam Nunn who was a sitting U. S. Senator when I was on active duty Air Force in the late 1970's. The military had no better friend in Washington at that time, when Jimmy Carter (who was from Georgia) was trying to destroy the military.

Now back to Cynthia McKinney.

Sarah, you forgot to mention what brought good old Cynthia to the national limelight, so I will fill in the blanks for you.

I never really heard of Cynthia McKinney until about a year or two ago, when she assaulted a U. S. Capitol police officer.

She thought she was too good to go through a security checkpoint, and since she wasn't wearing her congressional identification pin the police officer didn't know who she was. What audacity that the police officer didn't know she was one of the 535 other members of Congress. What made the matters worse, he had the gall to stop her.

Of course she tried to take it down the good old Racial Trail, but fortunately people saw her for what she was and dismissed her as being a "Dumbass".

Zell Miller is the only democrat I've ever voted for!

Cynthia McKinney is one of the most racist and antisemitic people I can think of at the moment. How anyone can take her seriously at this point, I don't know.

At one point, the republicans in her district switched over and voted democrat just to get her out of office (it was a great moment for my state), unfortunately she found her way back.
