How's 2008 working out for ya?

So far so good for me...well up until a few hours ago, I was apparently kidnapped by terrorists. Hey, you can't make this stuff up...if my parents were older, I'd swear Archie and Edith were modeled after them. Don't ask...well, you can ask, I'm just not going to post it here.

Anyway, I'm sitting here watching the Sugar Bowl. UGA is obviously beating the crap out of Hawaii. I don't know, it's all sort of bittersweet for me (the UGA-ness of it, not the football...some of you know why).

So, did you all have a good New Year's Eve? Mine was uhhh, boring. Basically, I ended up wasting gas (I sort of got lost), wasting money (in a small fit of being annoyed, I tipped a guy 100% - I thought he was going to kiss me), and then wasting two hours of my life watching that awful Fox News thing. Well, it wasn't awful...I don't really care for NYE type shows and I didn't really want to watch this until I found out the Red Eye guys would be on and then as it would turn out, they were on for approximately three seconds. They should have done the traditional NYE thing until 12:30 and then had some little half-hour "Happy New Year" version of Red Eye. Oh well, at least Mr. Levy was looking quite sexy...that was enough to make it worthwhile.

I know, I know, my next resolution should be to quit making comments like that...but...well, it's true! On that note, I have no idea when Red Eye starts up again. I also have no idea how to record things anymore so I'll probably never get to watch it again. Damn cable guy. (UPDATE: Just an FYI, there is a new Red Eye tonight 1/2/08 - technically the morning of the 3rd at 3:00 AM - and I can't list the guests because there is a personal conflict of interest (ha ha)...I knew she'd end up on that show one day...anyway, I just wanted to update for the couple of you who wondered with me and post it for old time's sake?)

I was just looking at the top films of '07. I would comment, but I haven't seen most of them. Plus, I can't take something seriously when it lists A Mighty Heart as one of the top movies of the year. I've got Lolita (I decided on the '62 Kubrick version), The Nanny Diaries (don't laugh, I, uh, liked the book), and something else coming in the mail tomorrow or Thursday. The only thing I've seen lately is Waitress and I have to admit, as cute and girly as it was, it was good. Ahh, Netflix. I have a feeling there are a lot of little red envelopes in my near future.

Good grief, Hawaii finally scored! Glory, Glory...Go Dawgs and all that good stuff. Cute, they're playing R.E.M.

And I'm going to wrap this up because it's really reading like a diary at this point!

PLEASE NOTE: THIS WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED ON 1/2/08 around 12:00 AM, but I accidentally deleted it when I was editing it.
